The One Man Bands

The Harry Keane transfer saga rumbled on during the transfer window, to go or not to go, to lever the Daniel Levy to let Harry decide his career place, to have earned the right, sentiment null and void in football, no chance on Levy stepping aside, Levy as tight as the mosquitoes that squirm around Daniel’s nickname, the ‘Arse’. Harry off to the München Bayern Munich to sell with the club’s owners instructions Joe Lewis, who is facing the prison cell to help with the legal fees. So will a possible lack of trophies define Kane’s career or will that change at the München? If the team is not good enough then the one man band cannot claim the winning formula on his jacksy, akin to Formula One’s Lewis Hamilton, give him the tools and the machine to become a winner, no machine of substance will switch to lose, lose, lose, put the monkey in the driving seat, let the monk drive like a maniac. To suggest that Kane’s career will not be defined on trophies alone, it’s the pride of performance that is the definer to feast on one’s personal accolades, Harry will leave an iconic legacy, that’s the historical value.

Kane in pursuit of Alan Shearer’s Premiership goal scoring record resting at 260 goals. Shearer who dedicated the golden egged dressing of his career to his boyhood club Newcastle United. A Premiership trophy with Blackburn Rovers was won prior to Shearer rejecting a transfer to Manchester United. Any regrets? No, Shearer lived the dream to play for his childhood club. Only the chosen few are gifted the talents at the highest of levels.

Born in Guernsey, but rooted to Southampton, the breathtaking skills of Matt Le Tissier known as ‘Le God’ to the Saints faithful, saving the club almost single handedly from near on relegation on numerous occasions. The one man band at Matt’s only club having rejected moves to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs, quote Le Tiss “I just wanted to entertain, winning trophies was secondary”, to remain a saint. These players are berated for their lack of silverware, but they hold the torch to greatness that’s bigger than any trophy link to article ‘Le God, Le Tiss’ A Premiership Legend 14.09.2019. Dating back further in time came Fulham’s Johnny Haynes who placed loyalty above any personal glory, 658 games and 158 goals with the amazing feat of scoring forty goals for England in six straight wins, a Fulham legend. The great Tom Finney who left a lasting legacy at Preston North End with 433 appearances and 210 goals. Into the two club man Sir Stanley Matthews, who gave 14 and 15 years to Blackpool and Stoke City respectively, the picks of the one man bands, add Stan the man to long lasting legacies.

Planet Stupid

The former Liverpool player Jamie Henderson always came across as a class act, we can now put that to one side, trashed down. First up on the SMT burner is Henderson’s denial of fast tracking to Saudi Arabia for the love of money, hail the laughter chamber, does Henderson think that we all live on Planet Stupid alongside the Hendo claim being that he was surplus to requirements at Liverpool. That was not the case, a convenient mind selection to con oneself, economical with the truth.

Liverpool is the kind of club that if a player wants to leave, he can go, that’s the power of the Liver Bird don’t kiss the badge on the way out. Time for quote time, Hendo “Money has never been my motivation” add a contradiction follows with a further quote “It had to work out for us financially”. The Manero add-on, but it’s not about the money is that right? Tie yourself up in knots and throw away the band aid to continue with Henderson in denial of his £700,000 a week wages, all credibility smashed to shine a light, sunlight is the greatest disinfectant for showing the light. Further into the mire we go with Henderson outlining the need to feel wanted and was looking for a challenge, to add value, the laughter overrides the anger, is that right Jurgen, Prost.

Jamie was a vocal Tannoy for the LGBT community with is outlawed in the human rights abusing petrol state of the yellow belly kingdom, criticism was lorded one’s way, why not indeed, the Jamie Planet Stupid rhetoric with the Hendo not ruling out a stance to be made in the Kingdom on the subject, tick that box the drainage pipes will open. Value in time, a step to diligence and honesty are not the JH beholders that’s been left behind on the back of the LFC career, the Memories will serve changing on entry to ‘Planet Stupid’.

Captain Morality

The former Liverpool manager Brendon Rodgers has publicly backed Henderson’s move citing Jamie’s motives, quote Rodgers “Fancied another challenge and out of respect it probably did not feel right for him to play for another club in England”. The shoot from the hip sun tan, respect is a big word for Rodgers who dumped on Leicester City and derailed on the two timer Liverpool express with a female colleague as manager of Liverpool with both parties breaking the golden banded ring set captain morality holds no court, to be courted with money talks and bullshit works.
